Learning to trade has definitely been a journey for me as I have taken numerous classes and spent countless hours in front of my computer. But nothing has proven to be of more value in that journey than this Discord group. To have the knowledge to be a successful trader is but one step and an important one but nothing replaces the interaction with other traders and live sessions that are a part of this community. I have been part of The RTW Bob Dunn Discord group. I have learned so much about psychology, technical analysis and the Bob Dunn RTW style of trading. I was able to present sessions and get feedback. And get help with entries and the tools used for trade entries and management and exits. The group is very good with a lot of positive feedback and trade ideas.

RTW Group has helped me speed up my learning from Bob's class. To be honest, Bob's examples are outdated by 10+ years. The concepts are great but examples are due to laziness of not updating content. RTW Group help reinforce the learn with updated content. Great community of support and enhancement of materials to fast track my learnings and adaptions. Arun, Neureka- Platform, Nirav, MartinL all has pay it forward to further my learning. An area of caution for the group... be careful of FOMO you all are creating by posting HUGE wins by NOT being transparent that it is SIM vs. Real. Or trading SIM with crazy lot size to show huge wins that is not reflective of your real trade account size. To a new trader not aware of it they think RTW style of trading is easy and I can make huge earnings. We all need to be mindful of the impact we all have one another. Accountability needs to be in place. Hands down this group has tremendously improved my candlestick reading, wave count, and forcing me to look at the bigger picture. I think its even better than some of the OTA instructors

Bob Dunn’s RTW Discord group has been instrumental in turning around my trading career. Like so many before me, trading was not going well since I started at OTA. Lost plenty of money trying to learn supply and demand. And truth be told I also lost a good chunk after taking Bob’s class, but the reason for that was I still needed clarification on some of the concepts learned in Bob’s class. This group has been the stop gap for those areas where I was lacking. This year has finally been greener than any time since I started trading. My live trades (when taken) are still small / slow lane trades i.e. Micros or single contracts. But my confidence level has grown, and I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Having the opportunity to jump in live and host sessions and having more seasoned members critique me in real time, although uncomfortable at times, has done wonders to help me improve! Thanks to Arun for being such an awesome host.

The RTW Discord server has been very helpful for accelerating my progress toward overall success. While Bob Dunn’s RTW methodology is relatively simple, new Cheetahs often find that applying RTW method is not so simple. Even very experienced traders usually have many questions that require experienced Cheetahs to answer. This Discord server is a good place to find and interact with them via chat, direct messaging, live meetings, etc. Some of us have thousands of hours of screen time trading RTW, and hundreds of hours collaborating with other members, making us true experts. Some of us have studied technical topics and posted our analysis. We discuss setups, answer questions about RTW, and help each other with platform issues. Some created platform tools that help apply RTW, consolidate context of many individual markets, identify setups, automate trade signals, and execute trade plans consistently according to preset parameters. Like the Cheetah, solitary hunters may survive… but they thrive when hunting in a pack. The power of years of collaboration is unleashed on a daily basis in our rooms.

Your (Lu) sessions and a lot of homework are to blame. It’s been quite a journey to be honest. I took Bobs class back in Feb/March 2019 I think. The class almost didn’t happen because we had a huge snow storm and bobs plane was going to be a day late. So imagine bob doing his class in 2 days lol. I had the beginners luck in the beginning, some really good trades and stop outs here and there. Eventually I got to the point where I was getting stopped out way too much with a few good trades. Most of my losses were just getting chopped up on multiple attempts. Setups just weren't working. I personally wanted to swing trade futures but couldn't find a way to get in. I could see really big swings and where the best place to get in at with hindsight. I semi gave up on Bobs style later in the year. So, I went on a search to find some other method to mix with bobs style to see if it would give me an edge. I spent a lot of time with Elliott Wave software I bought, but I couldn’t find a way to meld the two. I tried order flow and many other things that were just way too complicated. I was at the place where each new thing I tried, I was in the mindset of I got to get this to work so I can quit my job etc. That just snowballed the stress and frustration when nothing was working. I think it was a little before Covid hit that that I randomly started paying attention to discord again. The beginning of Covid was very rough as I am a Produce Manager for a chain in KC. That ordeal made me realize I had to do something and change things if I ever wanted to succeed at trading. I started paying attention to discord a lot more and saw some guy (Lu) who seemed to have figured out how to consistently trade Bob’s style profitably. It was a very slow process to start watching all the videos on discord and stop mixing other styles with Bob’s style. I had a "Come to Jesus" moment when I did a review of my trades. I found out with hard data that my crappy P&L performance was from trades that weren't Bob’s style or I used data from another style to influence my RTW style trade. Earlier this year (2021) I decided to hunker down and use bob's style. I spent most of my mornings on my days off watching Lu's videos, attending morning sessions held by members, or looking back at 10 years of worth of data on as many different instruments. IMO, doing homework and having someone to bounce ideas off of is very important. With the help of many people I was, and I still am, making really good headway. I say thanks to all who've helped. I'm not sure who here is doing well, who's struggling, and who's given up. I will say, putting in enough effort and asking questions, you should improve greatly. If you're struggling, I would tell you to post charts, ask questions, go live, or attend a morning session. It’s not worth giving up. To quote Lu, “If you don’t do the work you will get results!!!!!
